1. Unstable Internet connection, party
Sent off my application for the Japanese Language Proficiency Test. It gives me a nice, concrete goal.
We had lots of fun singing Sakura as a class earlier. We borrowed the karaoke equipment for thirty minutes and gave it a try. Everyone had tons of fun with Sakura, as we'd all practiced it during class. The other Japanese songs were a bit more obscure, though.
AOTS throws a joint birthday party every month. Today was the first I
attended. I think I need to practice singing. Lively songs, not the
soft, slow songs I'm used to. Maybe folk songs like Alimango, Leron,
Leron Sinta, or Paruparong Bukid...
I think I've gained around five pounds. Hmm. Must be the servings. I think next time I can skip the side dishes. Or skip the main dish and get side dishes instead. Not that I'm too concerned about my weight, but it would be nice to still be able to fit into all my clothes by the end of this trip... ;)
I play table tennis almost every day, too. It's fun, and I'm slowly getting the hang of it. Today I had fun teasing my opponent by sending the ball to the left, then to the right, then to the left... He took it all in good humor, of course, and we laughed about it. I also practice poi so that I'll be able to do cool things with the group when I get back. I can smoothly do the fountain, or some reasonable simulation of it. Next goal: 5-beat weave? 2-beat behind-the-back weave? According to my schedule, I have time for an hour or so for health and social interaction. =)
I've also scheduled in my laundry, homework, and diary. (In that order, roughly.) These are the things I must do every day. Then I fill in the gaps with other things: reading books, writing short stories, working on Planner...
Anyway, that's life so far. =)
